MEET CANDICE
Candice Hubert, the founder and President of Hubert Ventures and Consulting, is a Houston native who embarked on her career in the banking and finance industry over 19 years ago. Initially, she entered the finance sector to support her education, but her passion for fostering and nurturing relationships led her to remain in the field. Over the years, Candice has held various positions, ranging from manager to vice president, and she currently serves as a Director of Business Development for a globally recognized Investment Bank in Houston, Texas. She has established a robust network and has become a pillar of her community. Candice has worked with numerous companies, facilitating panel discussions related to access to capital, developing programs, chairing multiple committees, and serving on organizational boards. She has cultivated deep connections with C-suite executives, private equity firms, investment banks, senior directors, and centers of influence across the United States. Candice has led teams and considers herself an educator with a passion for supporting diverse communities, entrepreneurs, and women in leadership.

Past Work and Her Motivation
Candice's success is grounded in the principles of education, leadership, and relationship-building. As a finance expert in a highly analytical field, she infuses creativity into every challenge and project. In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when in-person interactions were limited, Candice seized the opportunity to engage her professional network by undertaking special projects for her company. In 2020, amidst the ongoing pandemic, Candice initiated an empowerment campaign for women, titled 'Seated at The Table.'
This initiative featured a series of virtual, educational, and enjoyable experiences, attracting women and industry leaders, particularly in the finance sector. The programs covered a diverse range of topics, from mental health and capital raising to makeup and beauty tips. Candice played a pivotal role in program development, overseeing session design and panelist selection. Her focus was on highlighting accomplished individuals from the community who could speak on engaging and enlightening subjects.
Today, Candice continues to guide organizations through creative, enduring, and impactful marketing solutions. Recently, she authored and implemented a mentorship program for the Secured Finance Network, a nationally recognized Commercial Finance Organization. Her program leveraged platforms like LinkedIn to encourage participation from over 100 mentors, mentees, and mentee champions across 52 Corporate organizations. Today, the Secured Finance Network recognizes this program as one of the largest and most successful initiatives ever launched by the organization.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Hubert holds significant roles in various organizations. She serves as an engaged board member of the Turnaround Management Association in Houston and is an active committee member of the Network of Women (TMA). Nationally, she assumes the role of Co-Chair for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at the Secured Finance Network, and she is a graduate of the Center for Houston's Future Civic Leadership Forum. She is deeply committed to nurturing mentorship initiatives and opportunities for both women and men in the finance industry.
